5 months old

Well, Linnea is sure growing up fast. She's rolled over again finally (in front of my mom and I) and she's making new sounds and loves to stand a lot. She's currently sick with a cold (that she got from her mom) and we've had a miserably exhausting day today. Besides that Linnea has been so wonderful and good natured and happy almost all the time. She continues to sleep all night every day and is getting more and more fun to play with. She loves walks in her stroller and will still sleep in her swing. Here are some shots I took of her this past weekend. Work is crazy for me and I'm way behind. I have two more weddings this month these next two weekends and am shooting family and newborn sessions almost daily. I just finished another shoot for Alberta Milk and am looking forward to a break from shooting in November...Tomorrow I go to my 3rd pilates lesson. I am really enjoying pilates and am feeling stronger all the time. I'm back training at the gym as often as I can go - doing karate and it just feels great!

September Faces of Linnea

Well Linnea will be 5 months old this coming Sunday! I can hardly believe how fast this summer has gone and now today is the first day of autumn. Well, I have been working so terribly hard on my clients sessions and weddings so I haven't been as diligent at posting these past several weeks and I know a lot of you have been waiting to see what Linnea looks like now. Over the past few weeks we've taken snapshots of her with our little point and shoot as well as my slr so you'll notice a quality difference in some of the shots (not a big deal IMO). Anyways, she now enjoys playing in her exersaucer as you'll see in some photos that were taken today. There are some shots of her first time in her Merry Muscles (similar to the well known Jolly Jumper). She is teething and drooling a lot these days but is still a pretty happy baby for the most part sleeping through the night all the time. I am trying to get her to bed earlier so she doesn't sleep til noon! LOL She is full of different expressions, squeals and giggles and lots of "talking" as she tries new sounds and vowels and discovers how her voice works and how loud she can get. Her cries are louder now that she is growing...She weighed in at 15 lbs 1 oz on Sept 8th. Since the last post we've been to the west coast and back home again and she did really well in the car for the full 13 hour drive. She was a trooper! Anyways - I have to get back to cleaning and working and get more processing done today. My mom arrives on Wednesday and we're excited to have her come visit.

More Rolling!

Wow - today was an exciting day for Linnea! I left early this morning to take an all day photoshop seminar with Jim DiVitale from Atlanta. I missed Linnea's first feeding of the day and the rest of the day until I got home at 5:30pm. I had called Jeff at our mid morning break and he promptly told me that Linnea took the bottle without any problems. And best of all Jeff found Linnea on her STOMACH in the crib when he went into her room this morning to get her. She rolled over from her back to her stomach again in the middle of the day as well so soon we'll likely see Linnea rolling across the floor I'm sure. How fun!! I think we're going to have to baby proof sooner than later. :) Tomorrow Linnea is 16 weeks old....unbelievable! We've been enjoying spending some time with Grandpa Froese (Linnea's Grandpa) as he is here working at the ArmorThane office while someone is on vacation this week. I'll upload some more photos soon...

Rolling Over

Rolling over, Rolling over, My cup is full and running over....Well - Linnea did it! She rolled over from her tummy to her back last night for the very first time (without ANY help) and again this morning on the floor. Last night it was right before bed time, on her change table. Jeff and I were giving her some fun tummy time and she was chilling on her side when she pulled her other leg around and turned over onto her back. Yay! So exciting. This is the exact day she turned 15 weeks old (3.5 months). Nope we didn't catch it on video or camera (and I didn't get it on camera today either). Soon though!! Back to work I go.

It's now the end of the day and I want to add that she rolled over twice today. Exciting stuff but then she had a pretty rough evening crying all night....there was no sleeping to be had for our little one from 4:00 pm until 12:15am when I put her down for night. She was definitely tired!!!

Happy Nappy Diaper Service

Here's my submission for a photo contest that Happy Nappy Diaper Service is having this week for 2 free weeks of diaper service. Linnea kept on kicking the diapers out from under her while I was trying to photograph her so it was quite the challenge. She had a pretty rough evening tonight...lots of tears and wanting to be held. Likely gas or teething or both and definitely over-tired as she skipped 2 nap times in a row! She finally went down a little while ago. Phew!

Trip to the Crowsnest Pass

We just returned home from a quick trip to the Crowsnest Pass. Jeff had a gig in Coleman playing jazz on Saturday night. We left Friday afternoon and came home yesterday afternoon in time for our friends bar call. While in the Crowsnest Pass we visited with the Sangster family and their friends who live in Bellevue. Jeff and I enjoyed traveling to Fernie, BC for the day on Monday and we had such a fabulous time with great weather. We left around 11am and walked around downtown visiting the Blue Toque diner (art gallery) and enjoyed a fabulous meal and then went to different cafes for espresso and stopped in some great shops to browse. We then walked around the neighborhoods and stopped at the City Hall to take "flying Linnea shots." :) Today she is happily playing at home again and has begun teething (hence sucking on everything including her hands, blankets, rattles, her favorite frog). She drools constantly and gives us lots of smiles. She's awake from her nap now so I have to run, but enjoy these shots from our trip.
